Damian completed the full Grand Final distance (18 laps) for the first time, setting a personal best of 56.195s on DK International. Warm-Up sector analysis revealed an ideal lap of 56.431s vs actual 56.467s — delta of just 0.036s, and P8 sector pace in S1. The O-Plate experience — especially the full race distance — directly explains the step-change seen in DAMC R6/R7.

The season finale — and Damian's best race of the year. From P6 on the grid to P2 at the chequered flag, crossing the line just 2.923 seconds behind winner Arhaan Koreishi. Best lap: 57.328s (Lap 3: S1 21.992 / S2 18.036 / S3 17.300). Heat 1 was the cleanest race of the season: P6, no penalties. Heat 2 P6 after the recurring front fairing issue (+5s). Final: Damian started P6 and picked off positions cleanly across 9 laps. Pierre Abou Diwan, Benjamin Karajkovic and Ray Haber all received 5s penalties — Damian ran clean. The final result of P2 JNR MAX is the best single-race performance of the 2025/26 season. A perfect way to close out the DAMC Cup campaign.

It wasn't a plan. No structured pathway, no karting school, no motorsport background in the family. It was a 13th birthday at Dubai Kartdrome — and one lap in a rental kart. The decision was immediate.

"That first lap decided everything. After that there was no other option."

What followed: the Dubai Kartdrome Karting Academy, intensive track time, and on 31 May 2025 the purchase of the first racing kart — a TonyKart. No budget team. No experienced mechanic. Just Damian, his father Vitali, and the determination to figure everything out from scratch.

Two months later: the upgrade to a used OTK LN Kart with Rotax Max Evo motor (Double Seal), race-legal for UAE competition. Vitali taught himself kart mechanics, tyre pressure management, telemetry analysis — all from zero. The Dubai Kartdrome community opened its doors: experienced drivers, other teams and the Kartdrome staff shared knowledge freely.

The Rotax Junior MAX class is one of the most competitive junior motorsport categories in the UAE. From DNF at debut in September 2025 to P2 in the Final at DAMC Round 8 in May 2026 — the development trajectory inside a single season tells the whole story.

One season as a privateer — father and son, no budget, no crew, no shortcuts. Every result earned from scratch. For 2026/27, Damian and Vitali evaluated their options and chose Mumbai Falcons Racing as the right environment to take the next step. Senior MAX, #325, under team colours. Logistics, coaching and setup support handled by the team. Vitali stays on as personal mechanic. The origin story doesn't end here. It just gets a bigger stage.

A podium on debut with the new team. Qualifying P9 (55.993s), Heat 1 DNF, Heat 2 P5 (+2.953s). Final: started P6, finished P2 Senior MAX, 5.294s behind winner Zain Elhommossany, 35 points. First Senior MAX race for Mumbai Falcons Racing — immediate proof the switch paid off.
